What is FTP and back office?

What is FTP and back office?

What is FTP?

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a system that allows direct access to your web server’s files. From there, we can:

  • Upload or update Revi module files.

  • Check for technical errors or conflicts.

  • Ensure widgets and features load correctly on your store.

🔒 This is a technical access typically managed by your developer or hosting provider.

What is back office?

The back office is your store’s administration panel (e.g., PrestaShop, WooCommerce, or Shopify), where you manage products, orders, modules, etc.

From this panel, we can:

  • Verify that the Revi module is properly installed and up to date.

  • Check settings like hooks, order statuses, and email dispatch.

  • Ensure widgets are active and correctly positioned.

Why do we need FTP and back office?

If your widgets aren’t appearing, reviews are not displaying, or you notice integration errors, we require both accesses to review and resolve issues efficiently.

You can send them securely via Support:

  • FTP username and password

  • Back office admin username and password

📌 If you don’t know how to obtain these credentials, please request them from your developer or hosting company. We’ll be happy to help!
