How to Get Started with Revi? First Steps
With your Revi account created, it's time to start setting it up. Get to know in detail the first steps to configure your Revi account correctly.
1. Connect your business
To enjoy the automatic sending of invitations to review and to be able to post your reviews on your website or store, you need to connect your store or website to Revi.
For this, you will need to go to the Connect section and make the connection with your CMS. Currently, we have connections with:
- Shopify
- PrestaShop
- WooCommerce
It's time for you to select your CMS in "Available Connections," click, and hit "Connect."
Once connected, it can take up to about 3 hours for everything to sync properly. One way to see if everything has fully synced is to check if all your Products and Orders appear.
You can check this in:
- Review Management → Orders or by clicking here.
- Review Management → Products or by clicking here.
If after a few hours your orders and products have not synchronized, write to Support so we can help you.
3. Status Configuration
If you are using Shopify, you can skip to Step 3. Your Shopify will automate this process.
If you have PrestaShop or WooCommerce, you can select the States in which Revi will mark your orders as Validated to send the review invitations. Until your orders reach this state, your invitations will not be sent.
By default, once you install Revi, the system selects the states Shipped and Completed. But if you want to change them or have more to consider, you can do so from the module in your CMS.
For WooCommerce:
Go to the Revi Plugin in the left menu and select the statuses you want in the Valid Order Status. You can select more than one or add additional ones by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on each status.
For PrestaShop:
Depending on your version, you will need to look for the Module Manager or "Modules" area. Once there, you need to find Revi and click Configure.
If the Configure option is not visible, you can click on the dropdown next to it to make the option appear.
Once inside, you can select as many statuses as you want by pressing the Ctrl key and clicking on each status.
We recommend you choose states that are not going to change. Since, if they change in a short time, the system will not send the email because its status will go from Valid to another status not recognized as valid.
For example: If my Validated status is "Sent by SEUR" when the orders reach this status the system will recognize them as valid to send the invitation. But if this status later becomes "In Delivery" and this status is not marked as validated, the system will disvalidate it and will not send the invitation.
4. Email configuration
It is time for you to choose your configuration preferences for your invitations to review. You can do it from Settings.
We recommend you activate the time interval and notifications of your choice (at the bottom).
Also, you can recover your old orders to send them invitations to review. Please note that they will be computed and subtracted from your available balance.
5. Email Design
In Templates you can venture out and play with the design and text of your emails. The more customization and originality, the better!
You can always write to us in case you need a little help.
Remember to edit the New Opinion, Thank You and Modification emails
6. Widgets
By default, Revi will install the following widgets for you to operate automatically:
- Floating Widget on the Home Page
- Product Category Stars
- Widget Stars below your product title, within the product listing.
- Widget Product, below your product description.
You can always change the designs or activate the ones you like best from Widgets.
Choose the widget you want and click "Edit Widget" to access its settings.
7. Set up your Public Page
The Public Page is the page that Revi generates about you where all the opinions of your store are shown and you can see at a glance an overall balance of your business.
From your Public Page you can check the visible information of your store and the parameters we have about your business to see if everything is correct.
You can modify all this information from Public Page.
