How can I send a test email to see what I'm sending to customers?

What are test emails used for in Revi?

Test emails allow you to preview the exact design, content, and layout of the message your customers will receive when invited to leave a review.



Send test email – Does not allow leaving a review

📩 The test email is identical to the real one, so what you see in your inbox is exactly what your customer will see.

How to send a test email:

  1. Go to Email Settings from your Revi panel.

  2. Enter the Settings section.

  3. Click on "Send test". The email will be sent to the address your store is registered with. You can check it in: Store Info.

⚠️ Important: The test email is for preview purposes only. It does not allow submitting an opinion, as it’s not linked to a real order.



Option 2: Manual Order Submission

The manual order feature allows you to simulate a real purchase and send an invitation as if the order had been automatically generated by your CMS. This is ideal for testing the functionality and design of the review system.

⚠️ Important: Invitations sent via manual orders allow users to leave verified reviews. For this reason, once you've completed your tests, you must contact our Support team to remove those non-real reviews.

How to send a manual order:

You can do it from your Revi panel by going to:
Review Collection > Invitation

Fill in the following information:

  • Language: Select the email language (available only on the Premium Plan).

  • Store: Choose the store that will send the invitation.

  • Order ID: Enter a unique ID that has never existed and cannot exist in your CMS.
    📌 If a duplicate ID is detected, it may cause conflicts and lead to data loss.

  • Email address: The recipient (test customer) who will receive the email.

  • Products to review: Add one or more products — all will be included in the same email.

  • Confirmation: Check the confirmation box and click Create order.

📩 Reminder: Once your tests are done, please contact our Support team so we can remove any non-real reviews generated during the test.
