Boost Your Email Review Invitations

Sending an invitation to review is key to increasing your response rate and strengthening your relationship with customers. A well-designed email, with a clear and personalized message, not only encourages users to leave feedback but also enhances the perception of your brand.

Tips for writing your emails

  1. Engaging, Clear Subject Line

    • Prioritize key words at the beginning of the subject, as on small screens (mobile) only the first part is visible.

    • Place your call to action or key phrase there—for example, “😊 Your Feedback Matters – Rate Your Purchase.”

    • Add a subtle emoji (📩⭐) to stand out in the inbox.

  2. Personalization

    • Use the customer’s name and mention the product or order: “Hi María, how did you like your new lamp?”

    • In Revi you can use these variables:

      • {{customer_firstname}}

      • {{order_id}}

    • This creates closeness and context.

  3. Visible Call to Action

    • Use a clear, centered button like “Leave Review” or “Rate Now.”

    • Ensure it’s the first thing seen on mobile without scrolling, so keep the subject short.

  4. Optimal Timing

    • Send the invitation after delivery confirmation.

    • Adjust the interval (e.g., 3–7 days after shipping) to fit your internal processes.

    • Use Order Status for this—see all details here: Order Status Configuration.

  5. Brief, Direct Message

    • Explain in one line why their feedback matters: “Your feedback helps us improve.”

    • Limit the email body to 3–4 sentences to keep it concise.

  6. Responsive Design

    • Always test on mobile: the button and main text must be visible at first glance.

    • Maintain high contrast between background and text.

  7. Test and Tweak

    • Send test emails to various devices and test accounts.

    • Monitor open rates and click-through rates to optimize subject and CTA.

  8. Optional Incentive

    • Some stores offer a post-review reward (e.g., “Receive 10% off for your feedback”), regardless of review rating.

    • Highlight the incentive in the subject, but deliver it in the thank-you email.

  9. Maintain Your Brand Tone

    • Be consistent with your style—informal, professional, or friendly.

    • Double-check spelling and grammar before sending.
