Beautifully practice-weapon, slighly oval shape provides a good fit when handling, very smooth surface finish. Did some sparring yesterday and we both (me and my sensei) are quite happy.

Unfortunately one of four pieces delivered shows a brownish-black knothole right at the curve of the egde. The pale colour of the beech and the exposed location (right at the 'sweetspot' of the blade) highlights it the more. Thats unfortunatley when having to distribute between the members of our dojo. I am shure this wont really infulence handling the naginata but it might be a breaking point in sparring.

Very good quality. Oval shaft so just what I wanted. Packaged superbly: took me ten minutes to get into the packaging! Only place I've found in the UK that does a naginata like this. Recommended.
