General Terms of Use
Published Version February 20, 2023
WEE ECOMMERCE SLU (hereinafter 'REVI' or the 'Company') informs Users of the Content Policy and Fraud Prevention in Reviews (hereinafter, the 'Content Policy') that Users must adhere to during the process of generating and submitting reviews.
The purpose of these General Terms of Use is to define the conditions under which Revi collects customer reviews, as well as the conditions for processing the personal data of any Internet user who connects to the website https://revi.io.
The REVI Review System
REVI offers sellers and buyers a secure and reliable system for reviewing purchases made online. To this end, REVI sends an email on behalf of and representing the seller (hereinafter, the 'Seller') to the buyer with a link to an online form that allows for a transparent and secure evaluation of the purchase experience.
1. Users
Access to and/or use of any of the services provided assigns the status of User (hereinafter, “User”). Users must carefully read this Content Policy, as well as the Company's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, before using REVI’s services.
When creating your user account, it will be done via an email and by entering a username.
Your username must not contain:
- Any harmful, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, or illegal elements;
- Terms like 'guest,' 'admin,' domains ('.dk,' '.com,' etc.); or
- Features that belong to another person or a third party, such as someone else's name.
You are fully responsible for controlling who accesses and uses your user account.
For example:
- You must not allow anyone else to access or use your user account and you must not share your login details, such as your email address and verification code, with anyone else. If you suspect that any of your account login details have been stolen or misused, notify us immediately by contacting us through this form.
- You agree to keep all information related to your user account (including your email address) up to date and complete. If you wish to change your username, you can do so by logging into your user account.
- You are responsible for all activities related to your user account, including all reviews, comments, and user-generated content.
Your main responsibilities: When using our platform, you must comply with the following rules:
- You agree to use our platform solely in accordance with our policies.
- You must be over 18 years old.
- You must not undermine the security or integrity of our platform.
- You must not use our platform in any way that could affect its functionality or interfere with other people's use.
- You must not upload or post elements to our platform that include viruses or other malicious code.
- You must not write or submit false reviews, nor participate in their creation. False reviews are those that do not reflect a genuine service or purchase experience with a company, or those written to manipulate consumer perception or negatively target a particular company.
- You must not perform any actions that could be misleading, offensive, illegal, infringe upon the rights of others, or fail to comply with our policies.
- You must not modify, copy, adapt, reproduce, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code from any part of our platform.
- You must not behave abusively or disrespectfully towards REVI employees, partners, and clients, or other users of the platform. We will not tolerate any form of abuse or harassment of our employees in any situation, including interactions with our support and customer service teams.
- You must not write commercial reviews or use our platform for commercial purposes, even in relation to yourself or any service, product, and/or company.
- You must not use our platform to develop or provide any service or functionality that competes with our platform.
2. Acceptance of the Content Policy and Fraud Prevention Policy for Reviews
Users can provide feedback and rate their purchases through an invitation from REVI. User reviews (hereinafter, 'Reviews') will be published on the Seller's website.
To use REVI's services and publish their Reviews, Users must have unreservedly accepted this Content Policy, as well as REVI's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
3. Reviews
Users can publish their Reviews through invitations received after making a purchase. These reviews should be based on their own purchasing experiences.
Reviews must, in any case, adhere to the following principles:
- Reviews must be honest and based on the User's actual purchasing experience.
- Reviews will be published free of charge. Under no circumstances will REVI publish reviews that have been paid for. This does not affect any reward programs that Sellers might implement.
- Reviews must be independent and impartial. REVI prohibits and will immediately remove any review that has been fraudulently published by employees, family members, friends, or any third party with a personal or professional relationship with the Seller.
- Reviews must relate to the purchasing experience. REVI prohibits and will immediately remove any review not directly related to the purchasing experience or to the products purchased by the User.
- Reviews must be respectful. REVI prohibits and will immediately remove any review containing insults or threats towards the Seller, their employees, or any other person, as well as the publication of personal data (phone numbers, addresses, email of Users).
- Reviews must always comply with current legislation. REVI prohibits and will immediately remove any review that violates the legal system, could be considered harassment, or contains racist, xenophobic, sexist messages or otherwise violates the law.
- Consumers may be contacted again for verification. Revi has elements that allow identification of the Consumer and verification of their purchase. Identification can be done via email, phone, or any other means that allows direct contact with the Consumer.
- Additionally, a Consumer who has left a Review may modify it within three (3) months after writing it. After this period, only removal of the Review can be requested.
- From the company's side, a request for a Review may be sent to the Consumer by presenting a proof of Purchase in their name, provided that this purchase was made within the last 400 (four hundred) days. Therefore, the possibility for a Consumer to submit a Review after making a purchase is time-limited.
Moderation of Reviews:
During the Moderation process, Revi will either publish or reject Reviews when justifiable.
The rejection of a Review necessarily results from a manual action by Revi's moderators following a report of the Review in question.
All people involved and actions related to Moderation are identified and traceable.
The moderation service provided by Revi includes a standard model in all subscriptions. The same moderation period applies to all Reviews, whether positive or negative.
Standard Moderation
This moderation is performed by Revi’s moderators following a Review report made by Customers through the opening of a support ticket.
Thus, after examining the Reviews and deciding whether they violate the publishing rules, Revi’s moderators will decide whether to remove the Reviews.
Manual Moderation is available at any time and can be done 'a posteriori' if necessary.
Moreover, Revi commits not to modify or delete customer Review content. Therefore, Revi cannot:
- Correct spelling mistakes in a Review.
- Change a member's pseudonym.
- Hide part of the Review text.
- Alter the rating.
Revi displays all Reviews, whether positive or negative, as long as they have not been rejected during the Moderation process. Therefore, Revi does not select the Reviews published.
Revi displays Reviews in chronological order from newest to oldest, based on the date of the Review, presenting the Reviews in their entirety.
Questions and Answers Functionality:
To establish a dialogue between Consumers and Associated Merchants, Revi offers a 'Questions/Answers' module.
In this system, the public response to a question asked by the user is answered by the store to serve as guidance if it is of public interest.
4. Fighting Fraud in Reviews
REVI is aware of the importance that Reviews published by Users can have on potential third-party buyers' perception of their purchasing experience. Therefore, as part of its commitment to transparency and combating fraud in Reviews, REVI reserves the right to remove any fraudulent Review, understood as any that does not reflect the User's actual experience.
If a fraudulent Review is detected, REVI requests that Users contact us via the email address hola@revi.io or through the contact form available on our website https://revi.io/es/contacto.
5. Temporary Suspension of Review Publication
When Users rate their purchase experience (regardless of the rating), the Review is automatically pending publication for 7 days. If a mediation process is initiated, this waiting period is extended to 14 days.
During this period, the Seller can contact the User to respond or resolve potential issues or open a private channel with the User to attempt to address the problem that led to the negative review.
The User will have the option to modify their Review after interacting with the Seller, if desired.
After the seven or fourteen days have passed, the Review will be published automatically.
