How do I add or remove emails from the blacklist?

How do I add or remove emails from the blacklist?

The Revi blacklist is the list of email addresses that won't receive review invitations. You can add and remove emails at any time from your panel.

#### Adding an email

  1. Go to https://ugc.revi.io/emails/blacklist.
  2. Use the form on that page to add the email.
  3. Confirm the action.

From that moment on, the address won't receive any new Revi review invitations. Important: anything that was sent before you added the email to the blacklist cannot be undone.

#### Blocking a whole domain

You can also block an entire domain instead of a single address. If you enter something like @domain.com, every address on that domain (any @domain.com) will be blocked and won't receive invitations.

This is useful when:

  • you want to avoid emailing employees or internal accounts of a specific client;
  • you've spotted a wave of bounces coming from one domain;
  • a client asks you to block their whole corporate domain.

The same conditions apply as for individual addresses: the block takes effect from now on, and anything already sent cannot be undone.

#### Importing several emails at once

If you have a long list, you can import multiple emails in one go on the same page (CSV / file upload). This is handy when you're migrating from another email marketing tool or when you have an internal list of unsubscribes.

#### Removing an email from the blacklist

  1. Go to https://ugc.revi.io/emails/blacklist.
  2. Find the email (use the search or filters if the list is long).
  3. Click the delete button or icon on that row.
  4. Confirm the action.

Once removed, the email is off the blacklist and can receive invitations from upcoming orders, provided those orders are marked as valid and the sending delay has passed (7 days from the valid status by default). Removing an email from the blacklist does not trigger an immediate send: it just lets the address re-enter the normal invitation flow from now on.

If the email was added because of a customer unsubscribe or a hard bounce, think twice before reactivating it: the customer may have explicitly asked not to receive any more communications.

#### If the email still doesn't arrive after removal

If you've removed an address from the blacklist, created a new valid order, and the invitation still isn't sent after the waiting period, the issue is most likely with the order status, not the blacklist. Check the FAQ on why invitations aren't being sent.
