The purpose of these General Terms of Use is to define the conditions under which Revi collects customer reviews, as well as the terms of processing of personal data for any internet user who connects to the website https://revi.io.

REVI offers both consumers and businesses a transparent, impartial, and automated verified review system that allows users to evaluate products or services contracted online.
To ensure the authenticity of reviews, REVI may act on behalf of and for the benefit of the businesses using the service (hereinafter, the “Sellers”) by sending Users an email invitation to review their shopping or service experience. This invitation includes a secure link to an online form where the User can leave their review quickly, easily, and objectively.
This system allows Users to share their experiences with other consumers, helping to build a community based on trust and transparency.

- Increased visibility in search engines: Published reviews may be indexed by search engines like Google, making it easier for other consumers to find your feedback when searching for a store or product.
- Distinction between verified and non-verified reviews: Revi clearly indicates which reviews have been verified through a real order, in compliance with current regulations on online reviews.

- Unverified review: Published without a direct link to a confirmed transaction. While publication is permitted, it may be subject to additional review processes to verify authenticity.

This refers to the process by which Revi.io reviews, evaluates, or removes content published by users to ensure it complies with these rules, the General Terms, and applicable law. Moderation may be manual and can be initiated:
- At the request of the reviewed business.
- At Revi’s initiative.
- As a result of a report by another user.
Moderation aims to ensure the truthfulness, respectfulness, and legality of the content on the platform.

The publication of reviews on Revi.io is subject to the following principles, which aim to ensure authenticity, respect between users and businesses, and compliance with current legislation on fundamental rights, data protection, and the right to honor and image.
Truthfulness of the experience
Reviews must be based on real, specific, and personal experiences of the user with a product, service, or business.
Fictitious, manipulated, or second-hand reviews, or those based on assumptions, are not allowed. In case of doubt, Revi.io may request additional information to verify the experience (such as an order number, invoice, or screenshot).
Respect and appropriate language
Users must express themselves in respectful, clear, and constructive language. Reviews containing insults, derogatory language, threats, discriminatory, obscene, violent, or hateful speech, or any other form of communication that may harm the dignity of individuals or entities are not allowed.
Prohibition of illegal or inappropriate content
Publishing content is not allowed if it:
- Infringes intellectual or industrial property rights.
- Violates personal data protection regulations.
- Contains confidential or private information of third parties.
- Promotes terrorism, violence, or criminal acts.
- Includes hidden advertising or promotional links.
- Is false, defamatory, or misleading.
- Was obtained through bias or incentive.
Revi.io reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove such content without prior notice if it violates these rules or the applicable law.
Individual responsibility of the user
Each user is responsible for the content they publish. By leaving a review, the user declares that:
- They are legally entitled to do so.
- The information is accurate and truthful.
- They do not infringe third-party rights.
- They assume any legal consequences derived from their statements.
Revi.io acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for users' reviews, although it reserves the right to intervene where necessary to preserve legality or proper system operation.
Freedom of expression and right to honor
Revi.io supports freedom of expression and the right to review products or services. However, this right must be exercised responsibly and without violating others' right to honor, privacy, or image.
In case of conflict between these rights, Revi.io will assess each situation individually based on the principle of proportionality, applicable case law, and the established moderation procedures.
Admissibility criteria for reviews
To ensure the quality, usefulness, and legitimacy of the reviews published, Revi.io establishes the following minimum criteria for a review to be accepted and published on the platform.
Valid reviews
A review will be considered valid if it meets the following requirements:
- Direct and personal experience: The review must stem from a real experience of the user with the product, service, or business. Reviews on behalf of others, fictional accounts, or speculations are not allowed.
- Timely relevance: To ensure the accuracy and relevance of reviews, the described experience must have occurred within a maximum of 12 months from the publication date, except in justified exceptional cases.
- Clear relation to the reviewed item: The content must focus on the purchase or usage experience, avoiding irrelevant commentary unrelated to the specific product or service.
Reviews That May Be Rejected
Revi.io may reject reviews that:
- Are not related to a real, demonstrable, or sufficiently detailed consumer experience.
- Have been generated by bots, automated scripts, or other non-human systems.
- Contain insults, threats, discriminatory language, or violent content.
- Include personal or sensitive data of other individuals (such as full names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, etc.).
- Promote boycotts, defamation, or organized attacks against a store or business group.
- Have been duplicated multiple times by the same user or from different identities.
- Are based solely on prices, promotions, or general policies without providing a direct experience.
- Have a clearly advertising, promotional, or self-promotional purpose.
- Are incentivized or biased due to their content.
Minimum Formal Requirements (Language, Length, etc.)
To be readable and add value, a review must meet the following formal criteria:
- Use clear and understandable language, avoiding excessive use of capital letters, symbols, abbreviations, or severe spelling mistakes.
- Reasonable minimum length: Reviews must contain at least 10 characters.
- Coherent and structured content, avoiding empty text, meaningless repetition, or unrelated phrases.
- Content such as “I have nothing to say,” “I haven't tried the product,” or similar will not be allowed.
Revi.io reserves the right to moderate, edit, or delete any review that violates these conditions or that, in the reasonable judgment of the moderation team, may harm the system’s reliability.
Review Rejection Criteria
Revi.io may reject a review if, after moderation, it is found to breach the terms of use, current legislation, or fails to meet minimum standards of coherence or relevance.
Common reasons for rejecting reviews about businesses:
- Defamatory or highly offensive content.
- Clear mismatch between rating and comment.
- The review discusses a product instead of the overall shopping experience, or vice versa.
- The text is poorly written or incomprehensible (random characters, severe errors, etc.).
- Complete lack of description of the shopping experience.
- Content written with the clear intention of damaging the business’s reputation.
- Inclusion of personal data (name, address, phone number, email, etc.) or other sensitive information that may lead to identity theft.
- Incitement to purchase from competing businesses.
- Explicit statement of not having made a purchase or had a real experience.
- Content mentioning legal proceedings or legal threats.
- Presence of insults, personal attacks, or discriminatory language.
- Evident conflict of interest (e.g., a review written by someone related to the business).
- Comments responding to other reviews instead of assessing the service.
- Spam, links to other websites, advertising, or promotional mentions.
- Duplicate or clearly automated reviews.
- User requests to modify or delete their review after an issue has been resolved.
Specific reasons for rejecting product reviews:
- Defamatory or highly offensive content.
- Mismatch between the rating and the comment.
- Review focused on the general service rather than the specific product.
- Incomprehensible or nonsensical text.
- Lack of reference to the product’s features.
- Explicit declaration of not having tried the product.
- Inclusion of personal data or sensitive information.
- Encouragement to buy from other websites.
- Offensive or discriminatory language.
- Out-of-context comments or content aimed at manipulating the product’s reputation.
- Links to other websites or unauthorized promotions.
Automated Emails
Revi.io allows stores to customize review request emails, as well as thank-you emails. Within this functionality, businesses can freely write any text, and some choose to include a loyalty program.
This option is managed directly by the client (the store), and Revi.io does not promote, require, or actively encourage the use of such practices.
If used, these rewards are applied equally to all reviewers, regardless of whether the review is positive, neutral, or negative. This ensures that no bias is introduced into the review collection process and that the text does not influence the content of the review.
Prohibition of Manipulated or Fake Reviews
The following is strictly prohibited:
- Posting fake or misleading reviews solely for the purpose of obtaining a benefit.
- Participating in coordinated campaigns to artificially improve or damage a store’s reputation through inauthentic reviews.
- Stores conditioning any incentive on a review being positive or favorable. Any reward must be given regardless of the content or rating.
Revi.io reserves the right to delete any review deemed manipulated, fraudulent, or contrary to the principle of truthfulness, as well as to suspend any users or stores involved in such practices.
Rules for Images, Videos, and Attachments
Revi.io allows users to attach images, videos, or other files to their reviews to enrich the content and provide greater informational value to the community. However, this functionality is subject to specific rules to ensure responsible and legal use of visual content.
Graphic Content Rules
Files uploaded as part of a review must meet the following criteria:
- Relevance: The content must be directly related to the shopping experience or the reviewed product/service.
- Truthfulness: Misleading or digitally manipulated images that distort reality or simulate false evidence are not allowed.
- Minimum quality: Revi reserves the right not to display blurry, duplicate, or uninformative files.
- Format and size: Technical limits on file size, format, or duration may be set and will be disclosed during upload.
It is forbidden to upload:
- Violent, sexual, discriminatory, offensive, or otherwise illegal content.
- Files containing undisguised personal data (e.g., ID numbers, addresses, license plates, etc.), unless they belong to the user and are contextually relevant.
Respect for Third-Party Rights (Brands, Faces, Minors, etc.)
By uploading visual content, the user declares they own the intellectual and industrial property rights or have the necessary permissions for its use and distribution.
It is expressly prohibited to upload files that:
- Show other people’s faces without their express consent, especially if they are identifiable.
- Include images of minors without the authorization of their legal guardians.
- Reproduce logos, registered trademarks, or copyrighted materials without permission.
Failure to comply may result in immediate removal of the file and further measures if applicable.
Removal of Files That Infringe Rights
Revi.io may remove without notice any image, video, or attachment that:
- Violates intellectual property, image, or privacy rights.
- Breaches these terms or any applicable law.
- Has been reported by the store, another user, or an affected third party.
Users may also request removal of content that directly affects them, following the rights-exercise procedure described in our Privacy Policy.
Content Moderation
At Revi.io, we believe in a transparent, responsible, and abuse-free community. While we encourage freedom of expression, we implement moderation mechanisms to ensure compliance with our policies, legal requirements, and respect for all involved parties.
Pre- or Post-Moderation Process
Most reviews are moderated after publication, either:
- Proactively, through random manual checks.
- Reactively, when a business or user reports a review through the available channels.
Reasons for Moderation or Removal
A review may be reviewed, temporarily deactivated, or removed if it:
- Violates our Terms of Use or the law (e.g., offensive, illegal, false, defamatory content).
- Contains personal data without consent.
- Includes inappropriate media or unrelated content.
- Is found to be inauthentic or based on a non-real experience.
- Is part of an organized manipulation campaign.
- Is a duplicate, spam, or includes unauthorized external links.
All moderation is carried out with objective criteria, and reasons are documented.
Right of Reply for Businesses
When a review is published, businesses have the right to publicly reply from their verified account. This reply:
- Will appear alongside the original review.
- Must maintain a respectful and professional tone.
- Must not include personal attacks, sensitive data, or advertisements.
Revi.io does not edit business replies, but may remove them if they violate these terms or the law.
User Appeal Mechanisms
If a review is moderated, the user may:
- Receive an email notification (if one was provided) explaining the reason for deactivation.
- Request a review of the decision.
- Provide additional information or correct the content, if applicable.
Moderation Action Logging (Traceability)
In compliance with Article 15 of the Digital Services Act (DSA), Revi.io keeps an internal log of moderation decisions, including:
- Date and time of the action.
- Reason for moderation.
- Affected user or business.
- Result of the review or appeal (if any).
