How to recover old orders and send review invitations

The recovery of old orders is used to send review invitations to orders that already existed and did not receive an invitation at the time. This option is available at Old order recovery and is a Pro or higher functionality.

You can recover orders from up to 1 year ago. The screen allows you to view quick periods such as the last 30, 90, 180, or 365 days, and also use a custom recovery by number of days.

Before recovering orders:

  1. Go to Old order recovery.
  2. Review the available orders to recover in the period you are interested in.
  3. Use Preview to see a sample of the found orders.
  4. Check that you really want to send invitations to those customers.
  5. Click Recover or Recover all.

Important: when recovering orders, Revi queues them immediately to send invitation emails. Each recovered order consumes one invitation/email from your monthly quota. The screen itself warns that the recovered orders count towards the monthly email limit and that the operation is not reversible.

If no old orders appear for recovery, you usually need to check two things:

  • that the module or integration is synchronizing the orders correctly
  • that the daily cron of the module is configured and running

Do not confuse this screen with Import orders. Import orders is at Import orders. The recovery of old orders works on orders that are already synchronized in Revi but were pending to send or did not receive an invitation.
