How do I unsubscribe, close my business, or delete my Revi account?

How do I unsubscribe, close my business, or delete my Revi account?

There are three different actions that people often mix up when they talk about "unsubscribing" from Revi. It's worth choosing the one that fits your case.

An important idea that applies to all cases: the reviews your customers have left belong to your customers, not to you. Because of data protection rules and consumer protection laws, an unsubscription, a cancellation or a deletion never erase legitimate reviews, and your public Revi page stays visible even if you stop using the platform.

I want to stop using Revi for one shop. That means closing or deleting the app. See the FAQ "How to close or delete a Revi app": depending on whether your app has real reviews, the closure happens straight away or is scheduled through the Recycle Bin (Papelera) for a few days, and billing is cancelled when it applies.

My company has closed down or stopped operating. That means ceasing business activity. See the FAQ "What happens if my business has ceased activity or I want to reactivate a historical profile": a case is opened with Support, you need to provide documentation, and if it's approved, the public profile keeps showing the historical reviews together with a notice of cessation.

I want to delete my personal Revi account (GDPR right to erasure). That means removing your Revi user. See the FAQ "What happens if I delete my Revi user": your account is anonymised, your access is revoked and your email is released. Self-service is blocked if you're an internal user or the only owner of an active app.

I want to delete a specific review. This cannot be done by unsubscribing, cancelling the subscription or stopping payment. Revi can only review an opinion when there is a specific reason (fraud, personal data, spam, serious insults or illegal content). This is explained in the FAQ "Can I delete a review or request a review check?".

If you're not sure which of the four fits your case, open a ticket describing what you're trying to achieve and Support will guide you.
