What happens if my business has ceased activity or I want to reactivate a historical profile

Ceased activity and reactivation of a historical profile

If your business has closed, stopped selling online, or ceased activity, open the app in Hub and use the My business has ceased activity option. This creates a manual case in Support; it does not change the public profile or delete reviews automatically.

Support may ask for documentation proving the cessation, the effective date, and the requester’s authority to act. If approved and real UGC exists, the profile may remain public with a ceased activity notice, and historical reviews will continue to refer to previous experiences.

If there is no real UGC, the app or profile may be removed when appropriate. If legitimate reviews or questions exist, cessation does not delete them by itself.

If someone later tries to register the same domain and there is a historical unmanaged, ceased, or transferred profile, Revi does not create a public duplicate. An ownership or claim request is opened for manual review. If approved, the historical business is linked to a new app, new access, widgets, and keys are generated, and the public history is preserved.
