No hay muchos libros dedicados a los temas de la defensa en ajedrez. Recuerdo el histórico libro de Polugayevsky y Damsky.
El manual de Sakelšwk y Tratar presentan los temas de forma no tan académica y con profusión de ejemplos clásicos y contemporáneos.
Hay capítulos dedicados a la defensa activa, la profilaxis y un conjunto de cuarenta y ocho problemas para comprobar el aprendizaje.
Libro muy recomendable

Mi hermana me enseñó a mover las piezas pero aprendí a jugar con "Bobby Fischer teaches chess" que encontré en la biblioteca de una tía abuela. Ese momento es inolvidable e irrepetible pero lo reviviría encantado con este libro. Es una obra perspicaz e ingeniosa y contiene unos gráficos que permiten una lectura muy intuitiva.
No creo que haya, hoy por hoy, mejor opción para aprender a jugar -bien y en poco tiempo- que ésta.
