Axel Smith es un GM sueco que con Tikkanen tiene otro libro, The Woodpecker Method. Entre los 2 me quedé con este pues ya tiene un capítulo donde explica el método.
Es un libro que explica los métodos que a ellos les funcionaron para pasar de IM a GM en poco tiempo. Algunos parecen un poco discutibles. Pero que nadie espere una receta milagrosa.

Es un gran libro pero más que de puzzles, que hay algunos, es de análisis de partidas de ataque, de donde surgen las tácticas. Hay muchas partidas de Tal y del propio Psakhis. Interesante.

A nivell funcional esta molt bé i és molt pràctic. Tant pots classificar els problemes per tema com per dificultat. És molt interessant el format cursos perquè estan ben fets i pensats, és com si cada curs es pugui considerar un llibre de problemes que segueixen un mètode determinat d'entrenament.
A nivell de disseny i estètica és molt simplista, sembla un programa dels anys 90 i la traducció té bastants errors.
