How do I connect my Google My Business Profile?
What is the purpose of connecting Google My Business to Revi?
Connecting your Google My Business profile with Revi is an effective way to improve your visibility in search engines and build trust with potential customers. By integrating both platforms, you can make it easier for users to leave reviews directly on your public Google profile from the same invitation email you send through Revi.
How do I connect my Google My Business profile?
-
Log in to your Revi panel.
-
Go to Stores > Create Store.
-
In the store setup screen, navigate to the Google My Business section.
-
Click on Connect Business Profile.
-
A Google window will open. Log in with the Google account that manages your business profile.
-
Select the business location you want to connect.
-
Confirm the integration.
✅ Once connected:
-
Your review invitation emails will include a Google Review button, encouraging users to leave their feedback directly on your Google profile.
-
This helps improve your local SEO, visibility on Maps, and reputation on Google.
⚠️ Note: Only reviews submitted directly through Google will appear on your Google Business Profile. Revi reviews (Store and Product) are displayed in your Revi certificate and widgets but cannot be pushed to Google due to their platform policies.
Do Revi reviews appear on my Google profile?
On your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business), only the reviews your customers leave directly on Google appear. The reviews collected with Revi stay on your Revi public page and in your widgets, but are not published automatically on your Google profile.
There are two reasons: (1) Google reviews are managed by Google and only Google decides what is shown on its profile; (2) each review platform (Revi, Google, Trustpilot, etc.) keeps its own history so it is clear where each review comes from.
How to use Revi to get more reviews on Google. In the Revi invitation you can include a direct link to "leave a review on Google", so that a customer already submitting an opinion can leave one there too with one click. The connection is made from Stores > Google Business Profile in the Revi panel.
Why do I sometimes see Revi reviews on Google? Occasionally, Google may show snippets of reviews collected by Revi as rich content (Rich Snippets) in search results associated with your store. This is not the same as appearing on your Google Business Profile: it depends entirely on Google and we cannot guarantee or control it.
About the "leave a review" link on Google
The link inviting your customers to leave a review on Google is a fixed URL that Google generates and manages directly, tied to your Google Business Profile. It cannot be changed or customised from Revi or from your Google Business Profile panel.
If you need the link, look for it in your Google Business Profile:
- Open business.google.com with the account that owns the profile.
- Select your business profile.
- Look for the option Share review form or Ask for reviews (wording changes depending on the version of Google's panel).
- Copy the link Google generates.
If you connected Google Business Profile to Revi from Stores > Google Business Profile, Revi uses that same link in the invitations that include the Google button.
If the link points to the wrong profile or no longer works, check in Google Business Profile that your listing is still active and verified. If your listing changed its internal identifier (place_id), you will need to reconnect Google Business Profile from Revi so the new link updates.
How to remove a Google review that still appears in Revi
If your customer has removed a review directly on Google (because they edited it, deleted it or you reached an agreement with them), Revi syncs with Google periodically and the review will stop appearing in Revi within the next 24-72 hours.
If after 72 hours the review is still visible in Revi, open a ticket with: your store domain and affected app, the public URL of your Google Business Profile, the customer's name or an excerpt of the review content, and the approximate date when it was removed on Google. Support can check the sync status and, if appropriate, remove it manually from Revi's history.
Important. Revi cannot remove reviews on Google: review moderation on Google can only be handled from your Google Business Profile following Google's process. This section only covers what to do when a review already removed on Google is still showing in Revi.
