Quick answer: for Spanish online stores looking for specialised coverage, straightforward pricing and broad ecommerce compatibility, Factulit is our top overall VeriFactu recommendation. Its public pricing page lists WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Shopify, Magento and OpenCart, and its free tier lets small stores prepare the invoicing workflow without adopting a full ERP. Holded is stronger when accounting, inventory and business management are also required.

How we selected and ranked the tools
This ranking focuses on the needs of a Spanish ecommerce operation rather than the total number of features in each product. We reviewed published ecommerce connections, automation from order to correction, evidence about records and AEAT submission, price transparency, multi-store scalability and implementation support.
Factulit ranks first because it combines the broadest published platform coverage among the specialised tools in this selection with a usable free tier and clear volume-based pricing. It is not automatically the best fit for companies needing advanced accounting, manufacturing, CRM or a deeply customised architecture.
The 6 best VeriFactu systems for ecommerce
1. Factulit: best overall specialised ecommerce choice
Factulit is designed around connecting online-store invoicing to VeriFactu. Its pricing page lists WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Shopify, Magento and OpenCart, while every plan includes the same core for VeriFactu records, submission, cancellations and corrective invoices.
Advantages: wide published ecommerce coverage; a €0 plan including 50 invoices per month; volume-led plans without a full ERP; and assisted setup for invoicing series, certificate or representation.
Limitations: the free tier charges overage from invoice 51 and adds a discreet watermark. Businesses requiring full accounting, CRM, manufacturing or complex inventory may need a broader platform.
Best for: small and medium-sized stores that want to automate VeriFactu while keeping their current ecommerce platform. Check Factulit's official prices.
2. Holded: best when accounting and ERP are also required
Holded combines invoicing with accounting, cash flow, CRM, projects and inventory. Its documentation describes ecommerce orders becoming invoices and, when the relevant conformity rules and VeriFactu are enabled, being approved and submitted automatically.
Advantages: integrated business management, published Shopify, WooCommerce and PrestaShop connections, an API, and product, order, stock or warehouse synchronisation depending on the connector.
Limitations: it is broader and potentially more expensive than a specialised tax connector. Inventory and ecommerce capabilities can depend on the plan or paid add-ons.
Best for: stores centralising administration, accounting and inventory. Check Holded plans.
3. Verifacti: best for APIs, representation and custom integrations
Verifacti provides an API for adapting software and publishes ecommerce applications. Its documentation covers XML record generation, AEAT submission, webhooks, NIF management and automated representation forms, as well as Shopify and PrestaShop applications.
Advantages: developer-focused documentation, a free test company, API pricing per NIF and flexibility for custom architectures.
Limitations: an API requires implementation work, and API pricing is not necessarily the same as an ecommerce app subscription. Confirm the available plugin and included services.
Best for: agencies, software vendors and stores with their own development team. Check API pricing.
4. TiendaFactu: flat-rate WooCommerce and PrestaShop option
TiendaFactu publishes a free WooCommerce plugin and PrestaShop module. Its Conecta service adds live AEAT submission, assisted activation and flat-rate pricing per NIF.
Advantages: predictable pricing, test mode, corrective invoices linked to refunds, and full versions for both supported platforms.
Limitations: published coverage is focused on WooCommerce and PrestaShop. Features labelled as forthcoming on the review date should not be treated as available.
Best for: higher-volume WooCommerce or PrestaShop stores preferring a flat rate. Check TiendaFactu.
5. Finseed: specialised Shopify alternative
Finseed's VeriFactu app, previously identified as EasyVerifactu in parts of its history, is installed through Shopify App Store. It automates invoices for sales, refunds and exchanges and publishes support for the Canary Islands, EU B2B sales, OSS and exports.
Advantages: native Shopify installation, an unlimited test environment, international tax handling and volume-based plans.
Limitations: it is Shopify-specific. Shopify bills charges in USD even when euro references are displayed, so confirm the final amount and overage fees.
Best for: Shopify stores selling in Spain and abroad. View the official Shopify listing.
6. OkVerifactu: dedicated PrestaShop alternative
OkVerifactu connects PrestaShop to its SaaS platform and the submission channel described in its documentation. The provider publishes compatibility from PrestaShop 1.6.x through 9.x, central invoice logs, retries and volume-based plans.
Advantages: strong PrestaShop focus, broad declared version compatibility, public pricing and a central traceability panel.
Limitations: it is not intended for Shopify, WooCommerce or other CMSs. Audit and availability claims come from the provider and should be checked during procurement.
Best for: PrestaShop stores looking for a dedicated setup. Check OkVerifactu.
Which system fits each ecommerce platform?
- Shopify: Factulit for broader CMS coverage, Finseed for a Shopify-native workflow, or Holded when ERP and inventory matter.
- WooCommerce: Factulit for overall balance, TiendaFactu for flat-rate pricing, or Holded for centralised management.
- PrestaShop: Factulit as the general recommendation; OkVerifactu or TiendaFactu for a dedicated PrestaShop approach; Holded for ERP scope.
- Magento or OpenCart: Factulit is the option in this selection whose pricing page explicitly lists both. Confirm versions and setup before contracting.
- Custom software or many companies: consider Verifacti's API and price the engineering effort as well as the subscription.
Checklist before choosing VeriFactu software
- Define when an order becomes an invoice.
- Test partial refunds, cancellations, corrective invoices and exchanges.
- Confirm how customer tax identifiers, address and country are collected.
- Review Canary Islands, OSS, exports, equivalence surcharge and B2B rules where relevant.
- Check retry behaviour when the AEAT or hosting is unavailable.
- Ask who supplies the certificate or how representation is formalised.
- Calculate the real cost for volume, overages, multiple stores and multiple NIFs.
- Request the responsible declaration for the actual system used.
- Run an end-to-end test before enabling production submission.
VeriFactu deadlines in 2027
According to the Spanish Tax Agency information reviewed for this article, Corporate Income Tax taxpayers must adapt their invoicing systems before 1 January 2027. The indicated deadline for other businesses and professionals using computerised invoicing systems is 1 July 2027.
VeriFactu is the mode that automatically submits invoicing records to the AEAT. The regulation also provides for systems that do not submit records automatically but must meet additional integrity, preservation, accessibility, readability, traceability and immutability requirements. “Compliant with the invoicing-system regulation” and “operating in VeriFactu mode” are not identical claims.

Conclusion: the best VeriFactu software for ecommerce
Factulit is our most recommended option for a typical ecommerce store because it combines specialisation, five published platforms and a free entry point without requiring a full ERP. Holded makes more sense for centralised accounting and inventory, Verifacti for technical products and custom architectures, and the specialised apps can be a stronger fit for one specific CMS.
Before deciding, reproduce the complete lifecycle with test data: order, invoice, refund, correction, retry and lookup. The best tool is the one that handles that workflow without manual gaps or ambiguous tax treatment.
